Class Descriptions

Yoga Beginning - Learn basic yoga poses, proper breathing and alignment.

Yoga All levels - Add new postures, and practice basic poses and techniques.

Yoga Continuing - Advanced work for students ready to learn standing poses, inversions and backbends.

Ashtanga Yoga - Vigorous yoga in a warmed room. A sequence of set poses repeated in a continual flow. Very aerobic, expect to sweat!

Vinyasa - Poses connected in a continuous flow, similar to Ashtanga but not as rigorous.

YogaKids - Traditional yoga techniques taught in a simple, playful way for kids ages 6 to 12. Each pose becomes an opportunity to flex the imagination and the body. Children explore and learn more about themselves by becoming graceful, powerful animals and objects in nature.

Mommy & Me Yoga - This is an adult Hatha yoga class where infants and toddlers (up to 3 yrs old) play and hang out alongside the parent. The emphasis is on the parent's practice.

Restorative Yoga - Passive yoga practice to relax the body and mind. Recommended for those recovering from injuries, those with limited range of motion, or anyone seeking deep relaxation.

Pilates Mat - Non-impact exercises designed to strengthen core muscles (abs, hips, & lower back). Improve posture, spinal alignment, overall strength and flexibility. If you're looking for a workout, this is the class for you!

Tai Chi - An ancient martial art based exercise that is a series of flowing movements. It is a moving meditation that can strengthen legs, improve coordination and body awareness, circulation, and balance. Tai chi helps reduce stress, quiet the mind and increase concentration. Classes are for all ages, this gentle exercise is safe for seniors.

Meditation - Learn to calm the mind through deep breathing and relaxation techniques. Guided imagery encourages mind, body and spiritual balance. 

Belly Dance - Have fun, strengthen and tone, learn the timeless art of Egyptian style belly dance. Appropriate for all sizes and shapes.
